A legacy of care
For over 60 years, CBPK has been part of Rancho Cordova’s story. We’ve guided generations of children and delighted in watching them grow — many of our former students return decades later to enroll their own kids! We are proud to bring the wisdom of experience to joyfully prepare today’s little ones for a bright future.
Balanced learning
At CBPK, your child is guided through a thoughtful blend of teacher-led activities (like storytelling, music, sharing time, and imaginative play) and free-flow play (including art, blocks, puzzles, and nature play). This dual approach supports both cognitive growth and creativity.
Explorative play
Beyond classroom walls, CBPK delivers multiple outdoor play areas with biking, climbing, sand and water activities, and even swimming in the summertime. These spaces encourage physical development, sensory experiences, and joyful exploration — key values for active and engaged kids.
Rooted in faith, open to all
CBPK is proud of its long history of serving families in the Sacramento community. While faith is at our foundation, our program is nonsectarian and warmly welcomes children from every belief and background. By focusing on universal values — kindness, respect, and belonging — we create a joyful place where all children can learn and thrive together.
Our Story
Serving Families Since 1963
For more than sixty years, Cordova Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten has been lovingly woven into the life of our community. Founded as an outreach of Cordova Baptist Church, our school has welcomed generations of families who have trusted us with their little ones. Many who once played and learned here now bring their own children through our doors. Our story is one of joy, dedication, and lasting relationships — all centered on helping children grow with confidence and love.

What Our Families Say
It’s amazing to watch my kids attend the same preschool I did! CBPK is welcoming and understanding, with experienced teachers who know how to balance structure and freedom so every child feels safe and thrives.
Tyson Burns
My son has been at CBPK for a few years now, and I can’t say enough about how accommodating this school is. From day one, they made us feel like part of the family. They listen, they understand, and they work with each child’s needs so every kid feels cared for. It’s such a comfort to know my son is in a place where he’s supported and truly valued.
Pushpinder Wilson
Both my son and daughter went to CBPK’s summer camp, and they absolutely loved it! The swimming program was such a highlight. Every afternoon they came home happy, uplifted, and full of stories about their day.
